How not to look away from the true and holy knowledge - Consequences and conclusion - 3/3
Conspiracies, conspiracies, conspiracies... a scary word just to designate a hypothesis a bit fun or weird that have no sense when we look at it with a little bit of method and good will. I don’t think it’s conspiracies themselves that make me sad or angry, there is an infinite amount of hypothesis, so if some eccentric hypothesis become famous it is not that astonishing.
What’s make me sad is that majority of people sometime do not care of what is true or not or are to naif and believe without questioning like we said in the first post. It is like truth was old fashioned and that people wanted new flashy information whatever there are false or not and the serious, people are willing to give to those hypothesis. I’d love to take some example and demonstrated why that’s wrong like I did with the antivax but all the time conspiratorial argument have to be criticize with a lot of method and time. I think it’s terrible to see that people who believe that sort of thing been based on nothing because all of there arguments are similar. But instead of looking at the fact they look at what please them which is a terrible error of method without taking the time to even if it’s long it is so important. Which eventually will lead them to a paradise where everything is according to what they think thing are even if all of it is a big fat lie. And the real problem with all I just say is that this behavior is so human our brain itself work like that. If your are convince of something is is hard to say well yes it was a mistake our brain hate that, a simple example isn’t it always annoying to not have the last word of an argument. Of course that’s not the only problem like said in the second post there are a lots of cognitive bias that alter our judgment. You can check some of them in the first series that’s useful to understand how our brain work and how we can be better at avoiding mind trap. You will be able to look the scientific method of information researcher and more with the third series, which will teach you how find the truth in all the false.
